Augusta, Maine – Full-time Nurse Practitioner wanted to join a team-oriented gastroenterology and hepatology practice with two board-certified gastroenterologists and an experienced physician assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in GI but others with extensive clinical experience will be considered. The candidate will have the chance to work collaboratively with the group to shape the position based on skills and experience into a mix of new consultations, longitudinal follow-up and the office evaluation of urgent problems. Interventional (mostly spinal) pain physician based in Bangor and Aroostook County seeks energetic, flexible, independent, clinically savvy nurse practitioner for the Aroostook portion of his practice. 
The successful applicant will evaluate patients with chronic spinal pain and develop a plan of care. The NP will also re-evaluate patients after a spine interventional procedure and develop further plan of care if appropriate. Monthly refills of opioid medications are NOT provided in this practice.
The position would require that the NP be able to commute among hospital outpatient clinics in Houlton, Presque Isle, Caribou, and Fort Kent. The time commitment would likely be between 60 and 80 percent of full time after a training period with the physician. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and productivity.

You will also need to provide consults to our Emergency Departments in both Augusta and Waterville. You may also be called upon to provide consults to the med-surg units as well. Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology
